Country Music hairstyles: more on Julianne Hough

The difference is like night and day!
Early in 2010 Julianne Hough flaunted a waist-length mane that could be styled lots of ways. At the ACM awards, she turned heads by wearing her baby blond hair half up: smooth on top, slightly scrunched below. The high crown requires extra attention such as blowdrying and rolling hair off the face with a large round brush. A quick set on jumbo hot rollers may be needed to pump up the volume. Backcombing and a strong spray come in handy before and after sweeping hair back. Late in 2010, Julianne did an about-face for the CMA Awards. Her hair was shorter but still long enough to create a free-form updo. The bigger change is the color–this season’s popular red with blond highlights. Loose waves all over blend together perfectly and are swept to the side–another trend of the moment. What’s next for Ms. Makeover? Your guess is as good as ours!

Country Music Hairstyles: Julianne Hough stands out!

Julianne Hough is not your average country music star. She’s been a Dancing with the Stars instructor, acted in Burlesque and is set to star in Footloose, next spring. An interesting tidbit for gossip girls: her current beau, American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest. But what we like most about Julianne is her hair. She’s unlike many country singers who have the tendency to stick to one look, one haircolor or one hairstyle for years on end!

Ms. Hough’s latest makeover was done right before the CMA Awards 2010: she walked the red carpet she had a red mane to match!

Going from straight blond to wavy brown, Julianne looks like a new woman – different and pretty as ever.

Another re-do (before an awards show a few years ago) wasn’t so great. We weren’t impressed when she went from bombshell blonde to dishwater brown/blonde. The styling didn’t change much but the loose curls looked flat in brond – heavy highlights on brown.

There’s at least one more makeover of Julianne we want to show, but that’s for another time (so visit realhairstyles.net again!)
