Emma Stone’s Hair Color: White Blond vs. Strawberry Blond

Will the real Emma Stone please stand up?

The answer is both…and there are too many Emmas to count! Anyone who loves to follow hairstyle trends and their fearless leader knows why there are many versions of this blonde/redhead/brunette/almost-any-color-ette. She ranks with other famous chameleons yet provides us with a milder versions ranging from Madonna to Rihanna, Lady Gaga to Gwen Stefani, and Drew Barrymore to Katy Perry…

her hair color changes from month to month or week to week!

The White Blonde above was the color du jour on Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, where she was named MTV’s first Trailblazer. Only a month ago her Strawberry Blonde was enchanting at the MET Ball 2012. (With those Lanvin hair ornaments and higher-than-high updo everyone was talking about the hot look.)

Emma’s shades are more wearable than most

As we hinted at above, Emma’s hair colors are more likely to be copied, as opposed to the other makeover queens. Obviously bleached blond isn’t for everyone, AND the majority of real women would choose an Em shade that’s fairly close to their natural hair color (one to two shades lighter or darker). Single-process, semi-permanent treatments are easier to maintain and change than high- and lowlights.

Even similar styles are different, depending on finishing touches & the color

Here, two updos feel different…the first exudes classic elegance, the second girlish charm! Curls are the base of both styles; the first ends up as a messy bun, and the second a messy topknot. Both looks were designed to be “fun,” according to Em’s stylist Mara Roszak. We think she achieved that, don’t you?

Emma Stone Strawberry Blonde: Cool Celebrity Hair Color for Summer 2012!

For red-hot color brighten dark hair or add depth to light blond!

No matter how she colors it, Emma Stone’s hair is always pretty, flattering and simply stunning–in strawberry blond, copper, red, auburn, platinum, etc. For years now, Emma Stone has been a leading–if not the leading–trendsetter in hair color–for celebs and real women alike. She changes the hue so often we’re not sure what it is today. The strawberry blond in question (above) refers to Emma’s hot look at the annual Met Ball on May 7th.

We could search photos all day and might not find the color du jour, but we’d rather spend our time learning how Em keeps her hair healthy and natural-looking through the wash-and-wear of color changes and constant styling.

As usual with the rich and famous, Miss Stone has an advantage with help from Tracey Cunningham, Redken’s Colorist of the Year Award for 2011. Tracey has worked with stars such as Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez and Emily Blunt and Sofia Vergara. She’s popular because of her ability to maintain healthy hair through the coloring process. Some of her secrets are as simple as using a temporary product like Redken Shades EQ Cream to get rich color and radiant shine. Some celeb-style colors–namely single process–can be achieved at home. But highlights, lowlights, platinum, etc. are best left to salon colorists.

Emma Stone’s hair color: strawberry blond, more or less ? You tell us!

Is Emma’s strawberry hair color more blond or more red?

It’s a trick question: we think the answer depends on the lighting, angle, fashions, whether she’s in- or outdoors and how her hair is styled–up or down.

Emma Stone’s haircolor?

One of our bloggers wanted a haircolor similar to Emma Stone’s. Here’s the new hue…not a perfect match, but we love it!

Emma Stone

A few days ago, we wrote a tweet and facebook status about one of our writers who was getting her hair colored. She wanted something like Emma Stone’s red (in the Revlon ad below) but lighter red, blonder or more strawberry blond. The results are shown above right.

To get the look: hair was highlighted in blond and then rinsed with a color glaze, creating a red base and overall dark strawberry blond.

Our writer has gotten lots of compliments on the new hue, and she likes it…for now. She was hoping for a lighter red than she got, but will enjoy it for a couple of months…until she goes in for single-process color.

We are firm believers in experimenting with our hair. As one celebrity hairstylist told us long ago: “Have fun with your hair…it’ll grow out if you don’t like it!” Our sentiments exactly. Of course we know better than asking for Celebrity Hairstyles that are out of our reach…like this one of Emma Stone in rich dark red accented with gold streaks and luscious curls!

Emma StoneWhat do you think about the results? Does it remind you of any haircolor Emma Stone has worn in the past? (We’d love to get your opinion in the comments space below!)

Olivia Wilde’s hair vs. Emma Stone’s hair

Today’s hottest Celebrity Hairstyle and Color are two of a kind!

Have you ever noticed how much Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde look alike? The similarities aren’t that noticeable unless you see them side by side…as they were at the Revlon Run/Walk for Women yesterday. They seemed like sisters or cousins at the very least! This weekend, Emma and Olivia have gotten so much press about their matching looks that you can expect to see more news about their style.

What’s even more surprising is their outfits of the day, and this point was mentioned repeatedly in the coverage of the Run/Walk. Of course, it’s only natural that their clothes almost match…because both are Revlon spokeswomen and both were dressed to do sports!

If you’ve just noticed how alike they are, think back to their hair history…the resemblance is uncanny. Their haircolor, especially, has evolved so closely that it seems like they go to the same salon. In the near future we will show a few more examples of the Stone-Wilde connection so you can see what we mean!

Emma Stone’s haircolor: most popular at realhairstyles!

Can’t get enough news about Emma Stone‘s dos!

If realhairstyles.com were a high school, Emma Stone would be Most Popular. If this were a beauty pageant, she would be Miss Popularity. If there were an Academy Award for Most-Liked Actress, it would go to Emma. The reason for our favoritism lies in the stats. Emma Stone is the single most-viewed celebrity on this blog with over 6,000 hits.

The mane thing that makes her exciting is her surprising haircolor changes–brown, blond, red, strawberry, auburn, platinum…Is there a color she hasn’t worn? Perhaps blue black, purple or pink?

Every little touch Emma does with her haircolor results in a fresh look (maybe that’s why she switches it so often). The two over-the-shoulder shots above are red, but one’s lighter than the other. One’s half up, the other’s one side up. One’s longer and curly, the other’s a little shorter and straight with a few curves.

When we first noticed Emma (after Zombieland), we thought her rich red above was the best. When she went bleached blond with bangs, we were shocked (and a little dismayed). We even wrote a post about the white-blond asking, “What was she thinking?” Pretty soon it grew on us, but you know what happened then: she went back to red but a lighter shade.

Welcome back… Celeb hairstyles of Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, Meghan Linsey, Mad Men & much, much more

In honor of the New Year, we are doing a Grand Re-Opening of realhairstyles.net. For a variety of reasons (health of significant others, our real jobs and other circumstances beyond our control), we have been gone for far too long. So for 2012 we are resolving to do one blog posting a week or at the very least once every two weeks. While we were gone, you were faithful to us. Our first action is reassessing our viewer stats of all time. These stats have stayed consistent for the past year and a half, and they give us a good idea of your fave (and not so fave) celebrity hairstyles.

Red celebrity haircolor & girl crush: Emma Stone & Christina Hendricks

According to Perez Hilton, Emma Stone has a girl crush on Christina Hendricks. Supposedly Ms. Stone said, “Everything about her does it for me. That’s my kind of woman.”

Perez remarked that it’s too bad Christina is married, but he doesn’t know what he’s talking ’bout. A girl crush in this case means a great role model…someone a young star wants to be like (usually referring to her career).

Actually Emma Stone and Christina Hendricks could compare acting in movies and on TV and talk about the future for women in show biz. Also interesting is the similarity in their hot red haircolors and retro glam styles. While her idol goes with timeless dark red, Em chooses a lighter strawberry. Long bangs drape their faces with one from the side, the other from the center. In this case, Ms. Hendricks sweeps up her curls, and her admirer leaves them down and wavy.

In the end, both achieve looks worthy of the Golden Age in Hollywood…looks that are worthy of a girl crush!
