Emma Stone’s haircolor: most popular at realhairstyles!

Can’t get enough news about Emma Stone‘s dos!

If realhairstyles.com were a high school, Emma Stone would be Most Popular. If this were a beauty pageant, she would be Miss Popularity. If there were an Academy Award for Most-Liked Actress, it would go to Emma. The reason for our favoritism lies in the stats. Emma Stone is the single most-viewed celebrity on this blog with over 6,000 hits.

The mane thing that makes her exciting is her surprising haircolor changes–brown, blond, red, strawberry, auburn, platinum…Is there a color she hasn’t worn? Perhaps blue black, purple or pink?

Every little touch Emma does with her haircolor results in a fresh look (maybe that’s why she switches it so often). The two over-the-shoulder shots above are red, but one’s lighter than the other. One’s half up, the other’s one side up. One’s longer and curly, the other’s a little shorter and straight with a few curves.

When we first noticed Emma (after Zombieland), we thought her rich red above was the best. When she went bleached blond with bangs, we were shocked (and a little dismayed). We even wrote a post about the white-blond asking, “What was she thinking?” Pretty soon it grew on us, but you know what happened then: she went back to red but a lighter shade.

Taylor Swift’s hairstyles Speak Now!

Personalities behind the hairstyles: Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez

When Taylor Swift speaks, fans listen. Her Speak Now album had first-week sales of 1,046,718 and took the No. 1 spot of Billboard’s country albums chart and Billboard 200 all-genre rankings.

A huge part of Taylor’s appeal is her hair. While tween and teen girls love the long curly locks, they seem to be warming up to her new do — still long but straight with bangs. Most recently the beautiful blonde alternates between wavy and sleek to mix up her hairstyles without making a big change. The Swift singer’s trademark curls are easiest to copy if you have a perm or natural curls. To polish up any type of curly locks, devote lots of time to styling small sections of hair at a time with a large waving iron. Another fave of Tay is ringlets — also time-consuming unless you’re blessed with perfectly curled hair. Like the first look, you should work with little strands; use a large-diameter curling iron and hold it vertically. Either way let hair cool thoroughly, finger-brush minimally and spritz with strong-hold spray.

When she feels like going straight, Ms. Swift can smooth out the curls most of the way. Styled with a blowdrier and large round brush, spiral curls are straightened yet have lots of body. If you have longer side bangs and straight hair, simply copy Taylor’s current do and sweep fringe to one side. Back in the day, T.S. wore her curls every-which-way: all up, half up, waved and rolled into a low chignon, etc., etc. …

Any way she wears her hair, Taylor is a sweetheart with a touch of mischief. So far the good girl hasn’t gone bad (like Miley, Demi et al.), AND her  love life is far from dull, rumored to have dated Taylor Lautner, Cory Monteith and even John Mayer! She and her latest flame (Jake Gyllenhaal)  have moved past the rumor phase into the pre-serious stage.

You have to wonder how any guy (namely JoBro Jonas) can let her go. Hopefully Jake and future beaus will think twice before jilting her… or be prepared to have Taylor “Speaking” out in a song!

Demi Lovato’s hair sparks public debate

Find out how Demi loves to change her hair!

You can tell a star’s popular when she inspires fans to participate in online polls. Based on current surveys, Demi Lovato has hit the big time! The questions range from the trivial to the major stuff  (hair). With the most recent changes, Miss Lovato is barely recognizable as Disney’s girl-next-door. The mane difference is her haircolor which has gone from dark to light. She’s one of the leading brondes (brunette/blonde) along with Jennifer Aniston, Gisele Bundchen, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lopez, etc., etc.

Demi’s do-over is drawing lots of attention… hence the polls. The top question is: “Do you or don’t you like the new color? (Maybe you don’t care or think it’s her own business). As often happens, there’s a group of admirers who are begging the Camp Rocker to “please, please, please go back to the way it was!”

When a poll proves popular, there’s spin-offs. In this case the pollsters are asking, “Do you like Demi’s hair up or down?” We haven’t seen a survey about her in curly or straight hair, but there’s probably one out there or in the works.

If you’re like us, polls are pointless. We LIKE to see stars changing their hair. It’s only natural that a teen/adult would want to give up “girlish” for “sophisticated.” So we’re all for the rising star trading in her long black curls for a brighter, lightly layered cut.

The easiest way to copy the singer/actress’ look? Wear curly hair natural or scrunched while air-dying. It’s simple to turn casual curls into polished ringlets: simple set hair vertically with a curling iron. Alternate the direction of the curls, rolling one piece forward, the next back and so on. When time is of the essence, take it up! Brush out curls around the face and sweep hair to crown, back or into a French roll.

We’ve saved the hardest coif for last: curly locks styled straight. Demi has professionals to do what needs to be done: blow-drying hair small sections at a time over a large round or flat brush. But with a little practice you can become an expert.
